Crisis Management

Is your executive team ready to work together to solve complex problems?

While other practices like emergency management deal with the initial stages of an incident, crisis management can cover weeks and even months of response.

We build programs across every level of your organization, including Crisis Action Team Plans, Site Incident Response Plans, and Tabletop Exercises, and we can bolster and support your team with Activation Support.

A successful crisis management program requires 5 components:

Crisis Management Plan

A concise plan designed for the specific level of the team acts as a tool for training and to keep the CMT on the same page.

Team Structure

Defined roles keep the Crisis Management Team operational. We build your structure based on how your organization operates. We also help build the three critical roles every crisis management team needs (Leader, Facilitator, and Recorder).

Tools and Resources

We help clients build the tools that keep responses smooth and keep the team functioning. This includes a standard agenda, policy language, and tracking tools. And if you’re implementing resilience software, we’ll help tie into those tools.

Activation and Communication Protocols

Activation of crisis management teams requires practical systems that pull everyone together quickly. We help define your protocols and implement new tools if needed.

Training and Tabletop Exercises

We’ll train your team in the program and conduct implementation and yearly tabletop exercises to help the team practice response and be prepared to seamlessly operate together.

Not sure if your plans will serve your team if something goes wrong? We can help make sure your plans are reviewed and kept updated with best practices.
